British Castors was established in 1927 in the Birmingham area of the UK and originally were part of a foundry company that supplied metal framed beds. After a number of relocations they settled at the current site in West Bromwich in the famous Black Country and grew to be the largest supplier of castors to the retail distribution industry in the UK.
Colson Castors Ltd was founded in 1982 in Halesowen, again in the Black Country, and designs a range of ground breaking high specification medical and wheelchair castors that are still being made today. After the acquisition of Castors International that included British Castors and Global Castors, they relocated into the British Castors facility.
Flexello Castors Limited was established in 1935 in the London area and designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of industrial castors and wheels that are known throughout the world. In 2001 they were acquired by the Colson Group and later relocated to the West Bromwich facility.
Global Castors founded in 1975 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire design and manufacture a range of twin wheel castors and associated products for the furniture and bedding industry. They were acquired by British Castors in 1994 creating The Castor Company.
